The Wing Leaf'ed Wind | Poem

THE WING LEAF'ED WIND

escaping

on the wing leaf'ed wind

day by breaking day we vow

half-way & wonder to the end

lost to impulse all of our resolve

dissolves

love continues when the object chosen

leaves distracted into otherness

fog only hides the mountain from our eyes

icy winter silence holds our vision

here within this sleepy southwest village

love is the only reason we are here

our very finest dreams born of humus earth

it is our friends & lovers

who portray us

we rise to chance to catch the ring

evolving each dance newly begun

leaves still on the vines

surrender to

the wing leaf'ed wind.
