How I Knew What to Do

                    In the long ago
                    ee demosthrated just how:
                    Every evening at 6,
                    He stalked out of a
                    Long-forgotted sidestreet
                    North of 65 5th,
                    Where I sat waiting
                    For the rattle and honk
                    Of his crossing,
                    Never looking, never stopping.
                    Olaf incarnate, unarmed and
                    Invincible.
