Heart, With Feet, Running | Poem

HEART, WITH FEET, RUNNING

I have gnawed through

    these coarse ropes

        fallen at my feet

    who leap in joy

        to run us away

    to the freedom

        which we have always

            held in our hearts

I have no thought

    for that left behind

        and allowed to fade

    we have learned the wiles

        of our attachments

    beating forward without

        that which no longer

            serves our growth

I have no needs

    that cannot be met

        thru love and vision

    carrying almost nothing

        our path is magic

    for all that leads us

        thru these feet running

            comes easily thru

                our heart
