THOUGHTS DRIZZLE

Soon, very soon
The season of rain
Likely would set in
To enthrall with rains.

The dark clouds
The chill winds
Are set to delight minds
With joys unbound.

In meadows awesome
Flowers would blossom
The multi colored charm
Wish, should never wane.

Birds would dance
Giving a loving glance
The soul-stirring chance
Would drowse in a trance.

In a fleeting moment
Of course fly these thoughts
Anxious, soon and very soon
Let’s greet the rainy season.

FADING HOPES

An apparent move
To desist from challenging
Challenging the volatile colors
The colors of ill-fated life.

I remember the last time
When at the fag-end of childhood
Destiny doused me in flames
Snatching away all well-wishers.

It seems the time is ripe again
Ripe again for anticipating
Yet another move by destiny
To break the dreams of my youth.

Hiding all odds from minds preview
If so vengeful is own life against me
How should I confront the hassles
Which strike with a merciless impact.

Groping in the dark against all odds
Though I crossed all barriers till now
Accursed, I curse my insignificant fate
That peels layer after layer of hope.

In the ravaging tides of desperation
Can my fears stall the fading hopes?

WHAT ARE WE UP TO ?

Quest for peace remains a distant dream
Conflicts and aggressions are often seen
But unseen are the tentacles of wrath
Slowly spreading across the planet earth
What are we up to?

Though, still to recover from past shocks
The lessons conveyed are dumped on racks
For selfish ends, against each other if we vie
Concepts of peace, forever shall remain dry
What are we up to?

While famines and deaths engulf one part
Wars and devastations on the other part
Innocent war victims and bone-sucked youth
Pitiful, queue-up at the threshold of death
What are we up to?

Having concluded, faithless are human beings
With motives selfish are we ourselves deceiving
The dreamy rainbow of universal brotherhood
Visibly slips beyond an approaching dark cloud
Yes, what are we up to?

THE THOUGHTS LADDER

Recurrently occupying the mind
Thoughts often persuade the mood
Childish thoughts at childhood
Of course crazy but shortsighted,
Short-lived, they cross many a bay
Though childish pranks get carried away.

Strongly influencing the mind
Youthful thoughts break all bounds
Swarming with dreams and illusions
Aspiring to prove them by actions
Appealing, agitating and aggressive
Youthful thoughts opt to be assertive.

Mid-age thoughts, gloomy and painful
Isolated but occasionally delightful
Frightful, the peeling youthfulness
Bless with desolation and dullness
And provoke to get carried away
Into the vortex of gloom, day-by-day.

No one, neither to assert nor assist
Ripened, old age faces the final test
Yes, often recollecting the bygone past
Is there a need still to pass the test ?
Yet, childhood pranks, young illusions
With renewed thoughts seek new visions.

THE  IMPACT

The sun dips
Into the cloudy horizon
In the light drizzle
Raindrops like pearls shine.

The homecoming birds
Hover with delight
While the drifting clouds
With silver lining
Captivate the view.
Twilight soon follows
For a brief spell
To stir new musings
In my thoughts continuum.

Provoked ?.
I jot down few lines
Where from emerge
A new verse
Like a raising Sun
That brightens the day.
Likewise ?.
The new verse
At this darkening hour
Awaken a new spirit (awakens)
Inscribing a new tune
To instantly fizzle out
The clouds of gloom.

THE  CHOICE

The silent dawn
Breaks to bring the bright sun
The nature beautiful
Opens up with a lovely view
The sky, alike a blue sea
Unwraps with piercing rays
The delightful flowers
Swing along the morning breeze
The dewdrops twinkle
Stirring a volley of thoughts
While the playful birds
Please with songs to echo in hearts
The colorful butterflies too
Swing like surging dreams
Yes, in the realm of peace
This is how a day dawns.

But, in a war-torn territory
In a conflict raging province
People are bound to witness
Gloom by dawn and doom by night
Filled with cries of women and children
Midst burnt and damaged dwellings
With woe-filled faces of survivors,
Fear-stalking youth and old people
Where death dances with destruction
In the realm of war and conflicts
Yes, this is how the days prolong.

Oh humanity ! let our wisdom prevail
To choose between peace and turmoil.

UNDYING QUEST

Tears, soon shall slowly trickle down
Deep down the memory of mother earth
Seeping into the annals of martyrdom
Yet another soldier stakes life to death.

The sacrifices made for universal peace
Throughout the archives of our history
No doubt are given a martyr status, yes
To treasure in our long-lasting memory.

Our motherland is the entire universe
"Universal Peace" should flow in our blood
With a wise vision let us render service
Providing succor to those in dire need.

Enlighten those great sacrifices everyday
Highlighting the undying quest for peace
Wish, our dreams one or the other day
Get fulfilled, lighting cheers in every face.
